Once the add-in is installed, you will see new tab on the menu ribbon of the Excel. The menu options will let you upload a set of routes and then get the optimum route downloaded. You can start by clicking “MyRouteOnline” and the upload and download buttons are revealed. You then upload addresses available in the Excel sheet to the route planner online. Once the route planning is done, you can download the optimum route. Address upload can be done in one of two ways. You can use the address list that have been created already and exists on the sheet or you open a file and click upload.

The file details are copied to a new sheet with new headers. Change the headers that match your data from a drop-down list. You then set parameters and click “Plan My Route”. After GOALS have been set you can plan the route. After the route has been optimized, based on the coordinates uploaded, you can switch back to the Excel sheet and get the data downloaded. If you plan more than one route, each will be added in a separate sheet. The interface is simple enough for just about everybody to master and use the tool effectively. This is a good tool.
